Just getting really bad at blogging… I spend most of my free time with my 8 month old. Can’t believe she’s already 8 months!!! I think what I am going to start doing is just uploading pics of my nails. If you want to know what I used or how I did it just ask!!
I am still using gel nails…I LOVE them!!! Unlike acrylics I have almost no lifting, the only time I get lifting is when I rush and do not prep carefully or if I wait to long to do a fill lol.
Here are my current nails.
I found these at my local Sallys, they were $3.59 per bottle. I frankly just cannot see paying that much for one striper…just can’t do it. I did however find the same exact polishes at my local dollar General Store! So I bought me one, they are only a dollar there!
That being said I have now learned a lesson, always ALWAYS check your brushes. Even if you get them from Sallys, or Ulta, or Walmart or Walgreens check your brushes! This is what I found what I want to use it this morning…
Yeah so not sure if I wanna leave it there… Or cut it off. We shall see…
So I wrote this post about 3 days ago…and somehow lost it. Sigh.
So I don’t remember everything I said originally, so this is pretty short and sweet.
My friend Cindy came over to learn how to make some tutus. While she was here she wanted me to do her nails, and because she’s such an outdoorsy type girl we did camo nails. Now these are my first attempt at these, so be gentle. Lol!!
I am going to try this again I have some ideas. But I think these turned out cute.
Not a great photo, but one none the less.
If somebody would of told me that I would wear egg shells on my nails just a couple years ago, I probably would have looked them and laughed. However that is precisely what I did, and they turned out really really cute!!! I almost can’t wait to do my nails again so I can use a different color of the egg shells I dyed. Below are my most recent nails, they are a purple micro glitter holographic mix with green egg shells. I’ve painted around the eggshell to make them look like leopard spots. I think this design works best with acrylic or gel nails because you can keep it smooth over the shells, but it can also be done on natural nails. It works great on short nails, mine are pretty short right now.
I hope you enjoy!!
