First off not a nail polish post – SORRY!! LOL But this is just fully under my skin and I need to vent somewhere – and Hubby is NOT helping right now…the butthead…LOL
Never EVER thought I’d say that Kindle does anything better than Nook….but I am. Now I admit the problem started because I was wiping something (cat hair >.<) off my screen while in the “store” and accidentally purchased a $12.99 book (not even a book that is anything NEAR anything I’ve purchased in the past). I’ve never accidentally purchased a book and asked them if I could return or refund the book before.
I posted on Facebook about what I did – and a friend suggested that I talk to customer service and see if they could return the book. She’s had to do it on her Kindle before - and they do it NO problem. So I thought “OH worth a shot!!” I contacted their customer service and I swear the person didn’t even TRY to help – or even try to appease me. Basically he was like “I can’t help so yea BYE!” (Actual chat log below lol – he wasn’t as out right rude as that.)
Not saying I’m getting rid of my Nook – I do love my nook and have almost 100 books on the thing and do NOT want to start over re buying every book on another E-Reader but c’mon B&N can’t remove a book from a library (taking access away from your Nook) and Kindle can?? Puh-leeze…
I’ve posted my favorite part of the conversation – I ask why Kindle can do it and Nook can’t and he IGNORED my question completely.
10:04:24 AM : Bob W: Thank you for being on hold,I appreciate your patience.
10:04:42 AM : Christine: No problem
10:04:59 AM : Bob W: Christine, I am sorry to inform you that the book you purchased is downloaded and it cannot be returned at this stage.
10:05:20 AM : Christine: ugh great….why can Kindle do it but Nook can’t?
10:09:12 AM : Bob W:Christine, we are sorry but we cannot give the refund.
10:09:41 AM : Christine: Thanks…I’ll be sure to let everyone I know who is considering a nook know that Kindle is WAY better in this aspect.
10:10:41 AM : Bob W: I am sorry I was unable to help you, but thanks once again for joining the Barnes & Noble Chat.
Now I have an annoying password thing on my Nook – have to put in a password to download ANYTHING even free items… – to help avoid doing this again in the future. I swear a little customer service would have gone a LONG way (and totally changed the view of this post…).
I was considering buying one and could not decide between one or the other, but this post has definitely swayed my decision, thanks!
